Is your skin in need of hydration?
Did You Know? Wrinkles and fine lines develop faster with dry skin.
There is no avoiding the winter cold that we've been having lately. Not only do we have cold temperatures, but every time I go outside, the wind smacks me in the face. As a result our skin feels dull and dry. It is important that we alter our skincare routine to replenish and restore the moisture lost from the cold and lack of moisture in the air. Here are my 3 tips to combat dry skin!
Hydrate in the AM & PM
Using a rich moisturizer both in the morning and at night will help draw moisture in from the air. Look for the following ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid- Hydrates the skin and can hold a thousand times its weight in water. Shea Butter- Helps contain moisture in the skin. Jojoba Oil- Reduces trans-epidermal water loss, leaving the skin supple. Vital C Hydrating Repair Creme is a great moisturizer option for dry skin. It pulls moisture deeper and provides a protective barrier to lock hydration. Also, it contains hyaluronic acid!

Increase the humidity
Turning a humidifier on at home can help dry skin by adding moisture back into the air. When the temperature decreases think about running a humidifier next to your bed.
Switch up Cleansers
Make sure your cleanser is not exasperating your skin. Choose a cleanser that is gentle and hydrating. Try to take a break from products that have a high benzoyl peroxide content. Benzoyl peroxide is found in some cleansers targeted for acne.
Try our Vital C Hydrating Facial Cleanser. Your skin will thank you with a glowing, dewy and healthy looking face!
