Additionally, any medical conditions such as skin issues (eczema, psoriasis, or infections) or a history of keloid scarring should be disclosed, as these may affect the treatment's safety or effectiveness. Patients should also let us know if they've had recent sun exposure, tanning, or used self-tanning products, as this can raise the risk of burns or complications. If pregnant or breastfeeding, laser treatments are generally not recommended. Any recent cosmetic procedures, like chemical peels or microdermabrasion, should be mentioned, as they could affect the timing of treatments. Lastly, patients should share any known allergies or sensitivities to skin products or numbing creams to ensure a safe experience.
